About the Role

We are seeking to appoint to the role of Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprentice (Level 2).

As a member of the Warehouse Team, this role is integral to YPO’s Warehouse function, working as part of the team to ensure that goods are picked and packed to the highest standards, in a timely and efficient manner, to be delivered to customers. 

Warehouse operatives undertake a range of duties including loading/unloading of vehicles and selecting, picking and packing customer orders, ensuring goods are ready for dispatch on time.

Overview:

The apprenticeship is aimed at individuals who want to gain skills in this industry. 

Some of the wider skills developed through this apprenticeship, for example, are risk assessments, PPE, COSHH and safe systems of work. You will develop skills in the handling of products, using a range of equipment and machinery. You will develop communication skills, problem solving skills and team leader skills.

This is a work-based apprenticeship, you will learn through on and off the job activities, meeting regularly with your appointed assessor to gain knowledge and demonstrate skills and behaviours.

About You

As YPO continues to expand, we are looking for a positive-minded individual to join our team.   Drawing from the skills and experience section of the Job Description, we seek someone who has:

• GCSE or equivalent Grades A*-F (Grade 2 and above) in Mathematics and English Language Excellent attention to detail
• An understanding of the work and skills required by a Warehouse Operative
• Ability to work well as a team member and follow direction
• Keen and hardworking, with a commitment to getting the job done
